Going Places

Today I feel like dissolving

slowly into crème anglaise.

Slowly, slowly. Sometime

between locking my car

and unlocking my office

I lost my greatest qualities.

I wonder how I will carry on

without arousing suspicion.

I sit down at my desk, I whistle

my little note. The lady I meant

to be was an ambitious person.

Then she discovered Columbus.
