Amit Majmudar’s most recent poetry collection is What He Did in Solitary (Knopf, 2020). He has translated the Bhagavad Gita from Sanskrit and served as Ohio’s first poet laureate. Some forthcoming books include, in the United States, Twin A: A Memoir (Slant, 2022) and Black Avatar and Other Essays (Acre Books, 2023), and in India, The Mahabharata Trilogy (Penguin India, 2023).
