Writer’s Guidelines

Given our anti-capitalist stance, we want the poetry that means the most to you, regardless of marketability or monetary concerns. Theme and subject matter are up to you. Anyone can send poems – we’re particularly interested in hearing from poets of traditionally marginalized, vulnerable, or disenfranchised groups and backgrounds (women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, neurodivergent, poor and working class, etc.). We don’t charge submission or contest fees, and we never will. We pay $10 to each featured poet via Paypal or Venmo. Please send 3-7 unpublished poems in a single attachment with your name in the filename to poetrycurrency@gmail.com (no Google Docs/Google Drive links, please). Include a brief bio suitable for use on the site if we accept your poems.
